Born into a family where military duty was expected, Huntemann immersed himself in the German army for six years, seeking to please parental expectations. However, his true passion for music soon led him down a different path.
The arrival of acid house in Germany in the late ’80s was a turning point for Huntemann. It was the catalyst that unleashed his creativity and festive spirit, a freedom he craved from his military life. Since then, he embarked on a remarkable musical journey.
Creating labels such as Confused Recordings, Spezial Music, and Toscana, Huntemann not only brought his own productions to life under various aliases like Huntemann, H-Man, Kaycee, or Rockford but also collaborated with prominent labels such as Gigolo or Giant Wheel.
One of the most significant milestones in his career was his collaboration with Stephan Bodzin at Super 8 Studio, marking a crucial point in his rise in the music industry.
In 2005, a new project was born: the Dance Electric label, merging dark electronic sounds with influences from the ’80s. To kickstart this new chapter, Huntemann partnered with the enigmatic Chelonis R. Jones, known for his work with Get Physical.
